Our Pastor

I began serving the Riverton Congregational Church in August of 2013. I have been a minister in the United Church of Christ since 1997 when I graduated from Andover Newton Theological Seminary. I have served churches in Cambridge MA, West Haven CT, Wallingford CT and North Hadley MA.

I also serve as a Spiritual Care Coordinator/Chaplain for Mercy LIFE (Living Independently For Elders) in West Springfield, MA.  It is a wonderful and holistic approach to health care.

Before becoming a minister I was a travel agent. One of my many passions in life is traveling to far off lands in order that I can experience the wonders of God’s Creation.

My joys in life include hiking, running in the woods, biking, kayaking, skiing, and communing with God in nature.

I feel truly honored to serve as the pastor of this spirited church.

My goal in leading worship is to bring the Holy Word of the Bible to life, to explain what the meaning was at the time it was recorded and how it can speak to us today. I used many different styles of preaching, such as skits, dramatic readings and monologues in order to give the Word meaning.

Each week I deliver a time for the young which summarizes the theme for the day. I use visuals and often times play a game or have a fun quiz.
